Minister Theophilus Sunday hails from Kogi State, Nigeria. He was born there on May 19, 1987, where he spent his formative years and first discovered his calling into music and ministry. Growing up amid the cultural vibrancy of Kogi State, Minister Theophilus was nurtured by his devoted Christian parents who instilled in him both faith in God and a love for music.

After completing his secondary school education in Kogi State, Mr Theophilus proceeded to earn a BA in Theatre Arts from Kogi State University. His studies in drama and performance sharpened his stage presence and storytelling ability and skills.

Today, Theophilus leads the annual True Worshippers Concert and fronts the worship band The 1Spirit, both rooted in his vision to transform lives through heartfelt, Spirit-led praise—an approach born from his Kogi origins and spiritual awakening.
