Israel Mbonyi was born on May 20, 1992, in Minembwe, located in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Though born in the DRC, Israel has strong roots in Rwanda, where he was raised and where his music career flourished.
From a young age, Israel showed a deep passion for music. He began nurturing his musical talent during his formative years and received formal training under a music teacher in Musanze, Ruhengeri (Rwanda). Out of 30 students, Israel was the only one who stood out, mastering the guitar and cultivating his unique sound.
In addition to his music journey, Israel pursued academics, earning a degree in Pharmacy from India—a testament to his commitment to both intellectual and artistic excellence.
