Actress Danica McKellar Shares Heartwarming ‘Godwinks’ in Her Life

Actress Danica McKellar recently opened up about the heartwarming “Godwinks”—small moments that show how God is working in our lives.

God’s love and forgiveness are incredible. Even though none of us deserve it, God is always there to forgive our sins when we ask for it, erasing them from His memory through the sacrifice of Jesus. Despite our flaws, God’s love remains constant, and the Bible tells us that Jesus showed His great love for us by giving His life for us, even when we were far from perfect.

But God’s goodness doesn’t stop with forgiveness. He continues to bless us in many ways. One of the most beautiful ways He shows His love is through “Godwinks”—small, special moments that remind us that God is watching over us and caring for us.

In a recent video, Danica shared two of her own “Godwinks.” These are moments where she felt God’s love and presence in her life, showing her how much He truly cares for her.

The first “Godwink” Danica shared was a deeply personal one. She had recently lost her dear friend and acting coach, June, who passed away before Danica began working on a new film. Danica was feeling a lot of sadness and found it hard to start working on the movie without her friend.

But then, something special happened.

As Danica began to read the script, she felt overwhelmed with emotion. In that moment, she prayed, asking God to show her that June was still with her during the process. And as she opened the script, she was touched to see that her mother’s character in the movie was named… June.

This beautiful moment was a reminder to Danica that God was with her, providing comfort and healing as she worked through her grief.

As it says in Philippians 4:19: “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

These “Godwinks” are just one way God shows His love, always reminding us that He’s present in every part of our lives.
