Their mission is to serve the body of Christ all over the world with songs of the Spirit that exalt and glorify the Name of Jesus.
Their songs have so far gained global recognition by the help of the Spirit and has impacted the souls of millions around the world. ” In 2015, they won a Billboard Music Award in the category Top Christian Artist. About Hillsong United
Hillsong Worship (which was formerly Hillsong Live) is a Contemporary Christian Music (praise and worshipis) group which originates from Australia. Hillsong United originated as a part of Hillsong Church. They are best known for their 2013 single “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail),” which has been certified platinum three times over by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The band was formed in 1998 as part of Hillsong’s youth ministry. The band has been led by several leaders from the church, including Joel Houston, Taya Smith-Gaukroger, Matt Crocker, Jonathon Douglass, Jad Gillies, and Benjamin Hastings.
Hillsong worship leader Darlene Zschech recommended that they record an album, which resulted in their 1998 debut extended play, One, which was released alongside the Hillsong Worship album Touching Heaven Changing Earth.
Since then, the group has released over 10 annual live albums, as well as several studio albums. The band composes songs and performs in church services as well as concerts on worldwide tours. In 2014, they won five Dove Awards, including song of the year for “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail).
